Helsinki, Finland, 11th June 2008, Incoras gave the first public demonstration of the MediaDesigner product at NoTA2008. The MediaDesigner demonstration with OpenMAX IL and NoTA brings together key technologies enabling the future of system design and integration of high-demand user services on complex multicore mobile devices.

NoTA International Conference on Network on Terminal Architecture Conference on the 11th of June was the first fully open event gathering all NoTA related technology, product and tool vendors together to share technical, strategy and business views as well as celebrating the era of open architectures. Organized by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, in collaboration with CoFluent, Cypress, Nokia, NXP Semiconductors, Taiyo Yuden, Telelogic, and Toshiba.See the full program at http://www.vtt.fi/nota2008

MediaDesigner is an Eclipse-based, model driven development suite designed to manage the complete lifecycle of streaming media development for mobile devices. The demonstration will show MediaDesigner building and controlling streaming media applications running on the Bellagio implementation of OpenMAX IL split across multiple CPUs and communicating through NoTA interfaces.

NoTA (Network On Terminal Architecture) is positioned to revolutionize the development of mobile and embedded system device platforms. NoTA is Nokia originated interconnect centric modular service oriented architecture for mobile device platforms. It aims at solving the gaps between current product platforms and future requirements, providing superior performance and eased integration. The key technical solutions exist today and major silicon vendors and OEMs are already developing solutions that are based on NoTA. Newly developed Release 3 of the NoTA core comprises features making it perfect enabler for future mobile and embedded platforms and devices.
